1. Who we are

SitnStay helps you find pet-friendly places across South Africa — accommodation, restaurants, cafes, parks, beaches, vets, and the services that keep dogs happy. By using sitnstay.co.za or our mobile experience you agree to the terms below.

2. What SitnStay is — and isn't

We're a discovery and verification platform. We collect information about venues from their websites, from Google, from partners like HolidayDOG, and directly from owners. Listings marked as Verified have been independently confirmed by our team. Listings marked as Pet-friendly per Google reflect an external signal we haven't independently confirmed yet.

Either way, always call aheadbefore you travel. Pet policies change, staff change, and seasonal beach rules vary. SitnStay isn't liable if a venue turns your dog away on the day.

3. Your account

• You sign in with an email + one-time code. No passwords, so keep your email secure.
• You're responsible for anything done under your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile page — your dog profiles, favourites, and visits are deleted with it.

4. Respect for your fellow dog owners

When you submit or update a listing, report a venue, or message another dog owner through SitnStay, you agree to be accurate, kind, and dog-first. Reviews and reports that are abusive, discriminatory, or deliberately misleading will be removed and can result in a ban.

5. Bookings and third parties

Where SitnStay links to a booking partner (Booking.com, an accommodation provider, an insurance provider, or a transport service), the contract is between you and them — not us. SitnStay may receive a commission; it never changes the price you pay.

6. Content ownership

You keep the rights to anything you upload — photos of your dog, reviews, tips. By uploading you grant SitnStay a non-exclusive license to display your content on the platform and use it for reasonable promotional purposes (e.g. our social channels).

Third-party content remains with its source — Google Maps data appears under Google's Maps Platform Terms, OpenStreetMap data under ODbL, and so on. See each venue page for the full attribution.

7. Privacy

Your personal data — email, phone, dog profiles — is held encrypted at rest and never sold. Details live in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Liability

SitnStay is provided as-is. We do our best to keep venue info accurate, but we don't guarantee a venue will accept your dog on any given day. To the extent allowed by South African law, SitnStay's total liability to you for any claim is capped at the greater of R500 or the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute is dealt with by the competent courts of the Western Cape.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of SitnStay after that means you accept the new terms.
