Restaurant · Gqeberha, Eastern Cape
A farm-style family restaurant on a smallholding in Charlo, Gqeberha, built around slowing down and eating outdoors. Roosterkoek is baked fresh over coals every day and turns up under everything from eggs Benedict to mince-and-cheese fillings, alongside burgers, pancakes and jar salads. Kids get a large outdoor play area plus an undercover toddler space, and the venue hosts baby showers and children's parties. Open Wednesday to Sunday in term time and seven days in school holidays, with both children and pets specifically invited.
Note from SitnStay: The venue states that children and pets are not just welcome but specially invited. Plenty of lawn and outdoor seating; guests have noted dogs on the grass, so keep yours under control around the play areas.
