A log-cabin style hotel a short walk from the centre of Hogsback village in the Amathole Mountains of the Eastern Cape, with the three Hogs peaks as a backdrop. Accommodation ranges from bed-and-breakfast hotel rooms to a garden cottage and self-catering cottages sleeping two to five. On the grounds are a pool with a children's playground, a bowling green, the Forest Restaurant and the Hog and Crown pub with its fireplace. Hiking trails and waterfalls start nearby, and dogs are accepted in some units on request.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are accepted in the cottages and some rooms if declared at booking, with a maximum of two per unit and leads required in public areas. A Pet Health Care listing adds house rules: pets must be tick and flea treated, wear name tags, stay off beds and furniture, never be left alone in rooms or cars, and remain in the vehicle on arrival until the manager has been spoken to. There is no enclosed garden option.
