On Rose Road in Knopjeslaagte, Midrand, this farm village has been a working property since 1947 and now doubles as a weekend outing spot. Hiking and cycling trails open at 7am, there is a Saturday parkrun, treetop zip-lining, paintball, a kids' play area with a water park, craft and food stalls, a bar with live music on Sundays and a coffee shop. The farm states plainly that it is dog friendly: socialised dogs are welcome on a leash, and the trails suit a Sunday walk with them.
