Closed until further notice: management announced on 30 June 2026 that the market would shut after a difficult period, and the on-site restaurant has closed permanently. For more than a decade Root44 ran every Saturday and Sunday on Audacia farm at the corner of the R44 and Annandale Road between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, with indoor and outdoor food stalls, local wine, craft traders, live music and a lawn with a water fountain for children. Entry was free and leashed dogs were welcome. Check for reopening news before visiting.
