Almond Park sits along the Liesbeek River in Cape Town, close to Paradise Park and the Upper Liesbeek River Garden on Riverside Road. It is a quiet, well-kept green space favoured by families and couples for picnics and riverside walks, with plenty of picnic tables scattered across the grounds. Dog owners bring their pets on leads to enjoy the shaded paths and gentle water, making it a relaxed weekend spot away from the city bustle.
Note from SitnStay: Dogs are permitted on leads; reviewers describe leashed dogs as a common sight in the park.
