A 200-hectare working wine estate on the edge of the Bot River Lagoon in Walker Bay, about 90 minutes from Cape Town on the Hermanus side. Visitors come for cool-climate wine tastings, the Moody Lagoon restaurant, picnics, lagoon cruises and a pirate-themed adventure golf course, and overnight guests stay in a dozen architect-designed villas or the ten-bedroom Manor House. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the estate, and selected villas take pets by prior arrangement for an additional fee.
