This community-run nature reserve in Durban North is looked after by local volunteer group EnviroFixers alongside the Durban North Conservancy. Indigenous trees have been replanted and tagged along the paths, chameleons have been reintroduced, and owl boxes dot the grounds. Regulars come for birdwatching, walking and photography, and dog walkers are a familiar sight, with local birds reportedly used to the passing dogs. There is no wifi, just benches, quiet trails and green space funded by donations rather than council budgets.
