Spread below Moses Mabhida Stadium in Stamford Hill, Durban, this free public park pairs rolling lawns, trees and fountains with a kilometre-long polished concrete track running the length of the grounds, popular with skateboards, bikes and rollerskates; pedal karts and e-bikes can be hired by the half hour. Children get a large sand-based playground, and the on-site cafe serves coffee and light meals overlooking it all. Gates are open daily from early morning until 19:00 and parking is free.
