Snake Park Beach

Snake Park Beach is a surf spot on Durban's Golden Mile beachfront, named after a reptile park that once stood nearby. Locals chase the beach break here, with the most consistent conditions turning up in winter when wind and swell line up, though the waves can be unreliable. Shark nets cover the swimming area, as they do along most of the Durban beachfront. Entry is free and it's open during daylight hours.
