A coastal nature reserve on the eastern edge of East London, with over two kilometres of protected shoreline linked by boardwalks that wind above the dune vegetation to several lookout points, including a platform used for whale watching. The reserve's lighthouse marks where the trail descends to a smaller rocky beach before continuing over the dunes to the wider Nahoon Beach. Its trails are popular with local walkers and hikers, some accompanied by dogs.
Note from SitnStay: No formal pet policy was confirmed; a hiking blog noted encountering other visitors walking dogs on the reserve's trails.
