Papiesfontein Beach Horse Rides

A horseback trail-riding operation on Papiesfontein farm about 10 km outside Jeffreys Bay, between the Gamtoos and Kabeljous rivers. Guided rides run twice daily along a roughly 13 km circular route combining fynbos coastal vegetation, a stretch beside the Gamtoos river, and about 6 km of open beach, with room to canter or gallop on the sand. Wildlife sightings can include birds, tortoises, bushbuck, seals, dolphins and whales, and guides match horses to each rider's skill level.
