Shekinah Lodge is a free-range dog boarding and crèche run by owner Yvonne on a smallholding in Paarl, in the Cape Winelands. Instead of individual cages, dogs stay in open-field camps where they can run and socialise together, which regulars say suits high-energy breeds like ridgebacks and malamutes especially well. It doubles as a weekday crèche for owners at work and a base for weekend and holiday boarding, holding a 4.7-star Google rating from local dog owners.
Note from SitnStay: Free-range, open-field kennel camps rather than individual cages, with dogs grouped together for supervised play; functions as both overnight boarding and a daytime dog crèche.
