The Beaches

Gqeberha's beachfront runs some 40 kilometres along Nelson Mandela Bay, taking in King's Beach, Hobie Beach, and Pollok Beach among others, each with its own character from wide swimming sand to surf breaks locals call the Pipe. The warm Indian Ocean water and Blue Flag beaches draw swimmers and surfers year-round. Facilities vary by beach, from snack bars and change rooms to open stretches with little more than sand and sea.
