Every Saturday at 08:00 this free, volunteer-run 5 km parkrun sets off from the east bank of the spruit about 275 m in from 126 Mopani Road in Hennopspark, Centurion. The 1.75-lap clockwise route mixes grass, trail paths and a bridge walkway, climbs Dumb Bell Hill towards the Ben Schoeman freeway and loops through Bronberrik Park. Walkers, joggers and runners are all welcome, you need a registered parkrun barcode for a time, and the regulars head to a local cafe for coffee afterwards.
Note from SitnStay: You may take part with one dog, kept by your side and within reach at all times on a short, handheld, non-extendable lead. Waist harnesses are not permitted. Spectators must also keep their dogs under control beside the course.
