Buffalo Bay is a Blue Flag beach on the Western Cape coast near Knysna, with a long stretch of sand that links up with Brenton-on-Sea at low tide, roughly eight kilometres away. The beach is popular for walking, jogging and swimming, and a dog-walking zone runs east of the last beachfront house, though dogs must stay leashed to protect breeding African Black Oystercatchers and white-fronted plovers nesting nearby. It falls under Knysna Municipality's coastal management.
