Sidewalk restaurants and cafes line Victoria Road across the way, and the wide beach regularly hosts events like international beach volleyball tournaments and the Summer Beach festival. Lifeguards work through summer and there's partial disability access, though parking is limited. Dogs may run off-leash outside 09:00 to 18:00 from November to March, and are barred from the tidal pool and Blue Flag zones.
