Garvies Beach is a lesser-known stretch of sand on Durban's Bluff, with pristine sand and rolling waves that locals consider one of the area's best-kept secrets. Dolphins are often spotted offshore and crabs scatter in the shallows, and the beach connects into a longer shoreline trail toward Ansteys and Brighton beaches. It is a regular stop for dog walkers, who bring their dogs to explore the rocks and shoreline off-leash.
