A 7.5-kilometre trail through Settlers Park Nature Reserve, following the Baakens River Valley from the Third Avenue dip in Newton Park down to Brickmakers Kloof, Gqeberha. The dirt path has some hills and rough patches and draws hikers, trail runners and birdwatchers, with sightings of dassies, leguaans and tortoises along the way. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome, and local hiking groups ask owners to bring water and poo bags for their pets.
