Strand Beach

Strand Beach is a three-kilometre stretch of sand on Cape Town's False Bay coast, with a tidal pool for calmer swimming, a boat launch and slipway, and a kiosk plus beach vendors selling snacks and drinks. Parking runs to about 1 000 vehicles, and there's a small fun park nearby with putt-putt and a water slide. Shark spotters keep watch over the water, and lifeguards are on duty. Dogs are allowed on leads, and dog walking is listed among the beach's regular activities.
