A resort and restaurant on Tierpoort Dam, 25km south of Bloemfontein off the N1, offering cottages, self-catering chalets and a campsite with electricity, hot-water ablutions and braai facilities. Guests come for fishing, birdlife, wide-open Free State scenery and clear night skies for stargazing. It works equally as a pit stop on a longer trip or as a relaxed end destination.
Note from SitnStay: Third-party camping listings describe the resort as allowing dogs with a fenced-off area for them to run and play and water provided on site; no fee is documented.
