Aqua Eden Camp Ground George

Now officially renamed Gwaing Caravan Park, this small George Municipality campsite sits right where the Gwaing River meets the Indian Ocean at Herolds Bay, about 200m from the water. Twenty grassed, powered sites look out over river, sea, and fynbos, with hot-water ablutions, a scullery, laundry lines, a pool, and an on-site attendant. It is a favourite base for fishing, kayaking, and birdwatching along the Garden Route, and a regional campsite directory lists it as pet-friendly.
