About

A well-known stretch of the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, about an hour south of Durban, with wide golden sand and a pilot Blue Flag rating. Scottburgh Beach has a tidal pool for calmer swimming, lifeguards on duty in season, a beach kiosk, braai areas and public bathrooms, and it's a base for surfing, bodyboarding and diving trips out to Aliwal Shoal. Whale-watching draws visitors here through the winter months too.
